Reported by our Media Correspondents, Lucy and Harrison

On Monday 16th March 2026, Rachael from the company OASES visited Class 4 to talk to us about the world and climate change — and let us tell you, things are not changing for the better. Here’s what happened during our day.

First of all, OASES stands for Outdoor and Sustainability Education Specialists. They are a charity that promotes outdoor learning and environmental education in schools. Rachael worked with us to design and build our own wind turbines, showing us how they can produce electricity without using fossil fuels. This was a full‑day activity and we learned so much from it.

The Monday before, on 11th March, Rachael visited us for the first time to explain how climate change is affecting the world. She chose a student to help with her presentation, wrapping blanket after blanket around them to show how the Earth is heating up because of greenhouse gases, cars, aeroplanes, and factories. She also explained how smoke from factories contributes to the problem when fossil fuels are burned.

We know we talked more about the world than about ourselves, but now you know too — and hopefully, together, we can help make the world a better place for everyone.
