A Fantastic Performance at St. William’s, Trimdon
What a brilliant morning we had at St. William's Catholic Primary School, Trimdon, as our talented Class 2 pupils took to the stage for their Great Fire of London assembly! The children truly brought this famous historical event to life through fantastic singing, confident acting, and beautifully presented work that made everyone in the audience beam with pride.
Bringing History to Life
As part of their history learning this term, Class 2 have been exploring the events of September 1666 and the impact of the Great Fire of London. Today’s assembly was the perfect showcase of everything they have learned.
The children impressed us with:
- Clear and confident speaking roles
- Lively songs that helped retell the story
- Brilliant acting that showed how the fire spread
- Wonderful written work and artwork, proudly shared with parents and carers
Their performance not only showed their understanding of the topic, but also their enthusiasm and teamwork. It was lovely to see how much effort every child put into preparing for this special event.
A Huge Well Done to Class 2
A massive well done to our fantastic Class 2 pupils and a big thank you to the staff who helped them shine today. Assemblies like this are a wonderful way for children to grow in confidence, develop their speaking and performance skills, and take pride in their learning.
